Day One
Today is the first day back to classes. Even though we will be online, I am determined to make this semester fun, fulfilling, and an exploration of what is possible in a new environment. Constraints are always an impetus for creativity, innovation, and change. This is an opportunity to rise to the occasion and find new ways of thinking about what education can and should be. I am looking forward to spending this semester (and maybe this year) collaborating with my students to reinvent the classroom and what learning can look like in the 21st century. While many are advising students to take the year off, my belief is this is the year that students may have the biggest impact ever on what the future of education can look like. Everything is on the table. So let's create something powerful, beautiful, and intense. Let's bring joy back to learning. Let's focus on relevance. Let's create something that we could never do before.
